LOCTITE® 515 is an anaerobic flange sealant designed to form a seal in place, curing when confined between closely fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air. It effectively seals joints between rigid metal faces and flanges, accommodating minor flange movements. The sealant provides immediate resistance to low pressures upon assembly and is commonly used as a form-in-place gasket for applications such as pumps, thermostats, compressors, transmission housings, and axle covers. Additionally, the product is fluorescent under UV light, enabling easy visual inspection of the seal.
